The First Jet "Hawk" on Deck

The Sea Hawk was designed with high reliability and excellent flight characteristics in mind, which was not a given for early carrier-based jet aircraft. It was powered by the reliable Rolls-Royce Nene engine, whose thrust was unconventionally directed through bifurcated exhaust nozzles on the trailing edge of the wing. This gave the aircraft very clean and graceful aerodynamic lines. The aircraft fully demonstrated its combat capabilities during the Suez Crisis in 1956, acting as an excellent fighter-bomber attacking ground targets.

Vibrant Colors by Aviation 72

Lovers of the British Fleet Air Arm will find plenty to enjoy in this category. The Aviation 72 brand brings well-crafted 1:72 scale models that faithfully replicate the specific shapes of this naval workhorse. A major draw for collectors is the variety of liveries—alongside classic combat camouflages, you will also find a highly attractive, bright red variant that will light up any aviation display case. The solid metal construction guarantees durability, while the plastic details of the cockpit and landing gear add perfect realism to the model.
