A Steel Monster with an 88mm Gun

The Tiger I was designed with a clear goal: to dominate the battlefield. With an impressive weight of 57 tons and massive frontal armor up to 120 mm thick, it was initially almost invulnerable to most contemporary anti-tank weapons. Its main armament was the feared 8.8cm KwK 36 L/56 gun, which could accurately and reliably destroy enemy equipment at distances from which Allied tanks could not even respond. However, despite its technological superiority, it paid the price for logistical demands, high fuel consumption, and mechanical complexity.
