We offer a precisely crafted die-cast metal model with plastic parts in the standard 1:72 scale from the renowned manufacturer HobbyMaster. Add the strike aircraft that helped seal the fate of the Imperial Japanese Navy to your Pacific squadron.
The Avenger of the Pacific
The Avenger entered service in 1942 and had its baptism of fire right at the Battle of Midway, arriving as a replacement for the obsolescent Devastators. It was a massive and incredibly rugged machine, the first to feature an internal bomb bay for a heavy aerial torpedo. With a three-man crew and its distinctive glass-ball rear defensive turret, the Avenger posed a deadly threat to enemy ships. Interestingly, the future US President George H. W. Bush flew this type of aircraft in the Pacific.
