The monstrous Karl-Gerät weapon was created in Germany with a single goal: to breach the massive Maginot Line. Although never used for this task, it made history during the siege of Sevastopol and the Warsaw Uprising. Firing a two-ton projectile required a huge logistical apparatus. Each machine (like the famous mortar "Adam") required a large crew, special cranes, and Panzer IV ammunition transporters.
