The Salvation of German Panzer Forces

The production of the StuG IV began at the turn of 1943 and 1944 as a crisis solution following the devastating Allied bombing of factories producing the smaller StuG III. The Panzer IV chassis provided the machine with excellent reliability and the necessary load capacity. The original primary task of these vehicles was the direct support of attacking infantry; however, with the growing shortage of classic tanks and the overwhelming numerical superiority of Allied and Soviet equipment, they were increasingly deployed in the role of improvised yet highly deadly tank destroyers. This was facilitated primarily by the excellent 7.5cm StuK 40 L/48 gun.

Plastic Models by Easy Model

In this category, you will find a carefully crafted collection from the popular Easy Model brand. These finished plastic models in the detailed 1:72 scale stand out with an excellent price-to-quality ratio. They feature specific details characteristic of the late stages of the war, such as the depiction of Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste or side skirt armor (Schürzen). Collectors can choose from several attractive camouflage schemes, ranging from the basic sand paint (Dunkelgelb) to more complex multi-colored camouflages used by these machines during the defense of the Reich.
