The Swept-Wing Revolution

When the MiG-15 first appeared in the skies during the Korean War, it caused an absolute shock among Allied pilots. Thanks to its excellent aerodynamics and a powerful engine (ironically based on the British Rolls-Royce Nene design), the aircraft achieved fantastic climb rates and speeds. Its heavy cannon armament, consisting of one 37mm and two 23mm cannons, was primarily designed to destroy massive formations of strategic bombers. The clashes between "fifteens" and American F-86 Sabres in the infamous MiG Alley went down in history as the first massive jet-versus-jet dogfights.

The Backbone of the Czechoslovak Air Force

The MiG-15 holds absolute fundamental importance for our military history. These machines were not only widely deployed in our country, but the Aero Vodochody factory also successfully produced them under license with the designation S-102, and the improved versions as S-103. The model by Easy Model represents the fighter-bomber variant (SB) in a classic silver finish with prominent Czechoslovak roundels. Thanks to its plastic construction, a very affordable price has been maintained without compromising the fine panel line engraving or the accuracy of historical details.
