Legends of the Great War

SPAD fighters became a symbol of aerial combat on the Western Front. They excelled in their robust construction, high diving speed, and immense durability in battle. They were flown by numerous famous flying aces, both in the colors of the French Air Force and in the ranks of the American Expeditionary Forces (US Army). Also noteworthy is the unique early S.A-4 type, which had the observer/gunner positioned in a nacelle ahead of the propeller.

Resin and Metal for Demanding Collectors

Our category offers models that will satisfy any historical enthusiast. The Wings of the Great War brand presents precise resin models that perfectly capture the texture of canvas and wood. Available are both the famous SPAD S.XIII (e.g., in the livery of the US Army's 94th Aero Squadron) and the rare French SPAD S.A-4. For lovers of more traditional materials, there is a heavy die-cast metal model with plastic parts from the British brand Corgi, depicting a machine of the French Air Force.
