The Jagdpanther ingeniously combined the reliable and highly mobile chassis of the Panther medium tank with the crushing firepower of the legendary 8.8cm PaK 43/3 gun. Thanks to its thick, sharply sloped frontal armor and low silhouette, it posed an almost insurmountable problem for Allied tanks. Although only 425 units were built by the end of the war, this feared tank destroyer managed to leave an indelible mark on both the Western and Eastern fronts in Europe.
