Mitsubishi G4M1
The Mitsubishi G4M1 (Allied reporting name "Betty") was the principal twin-engine bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service (IJNAS) during the Second World War. This aircraft became famous for its incredible range and high speed, which designers achieved at the expense of armor and self-sealing fuel tanks. In our selection, you will find detailed collectible replicas of this iconic aircraft in a compact 1/144 scale. We bring you models from manufacturers De Agostini and Atlas Models (Altaya/IXO), precisely crafted from die-cast metal with fine plastic accessories.

The Flying Cigar
Due to its characteristic cylindrical fuselage, the G4M earned the nickname "Hamaki" (cigar) from Japanese crews. The aircraft bore the brunt of Japanese bombing operations from the first days of the Pacific War. Although its long range allowed it to attack targets at vast distances, the lack of self-sealing tanks made it an easy target for Allied fighters. Nevertheless, the G4M remains one of the most important and famous Japanese aircraft of the entire conflict.
Details in 1:144 Scale
