A Boxy Turret with Crushing Power

The KV-2 tank was developed on the chassis of the KV-1 heavy tank with the aim of destroying heavily fortified points and concrete bunkers that caused problems during the Winter War with Finland. The machine received a huge and unmistakable boxy turret, in which a massive 152mm howitzer was mounted. Although the turret was extremely heavy and its rotation was almost impossible on uneven terrain, the destructive power of the fired shell could reliably eliminate any enemy tank of the time even without directly penetrating the armor.

An Impressive Model in a Large Scale

In this category, we offer a very affordable yet well-crafted model from the well-known De Agostini brand. The miniature in the larger and detail-rich 1:43 scale represents a specific KV-2 machine from the Soviet Army arsenal from 1941, the period of the start of Operation Barbarossa. The model in classic green camouflage perfectly captures the disproportionate appearance of the real vehicle. The combination of a durable metal hull and fine plastic elements makes it a great addition to any collection of historical military equipment.
