Henschel Hs-126: Reliable Workhorse of Early Campaigns
The Henschel Hs-126 was designed in the 1930s primarily for tactical reconnaissance and army cooperation, including artillery spotting. It featured a robust parasol-wing design (wing mounted above the fuselage on struts) with a fixed landing gear. This solution provided the crew with an excellent downward view and the ability to operate from unprepared field airstrips. Although the aircraft was reliable, as the war progressed and Allied fighter strength grew, it became too vulnerable and was gradually replaced by the more modern Focke-Wulf Fw 189.
Authentic Replication by Oxford
For military aviation collectors, these models present a great opportunity to enrich their displays with less common reconnaissance types. Our range includes, for example, machines deployed during the Polish campaign in September 1939 (Hs-126A version). The die-cast metal model in the 1:72 scale by the British brand Oxford features historically accurate camouflage, fine rendering of the wing struts, and detailed panel lines. The combination of heavy metal and plastic details ensures both high aesthetic value and durability.
