Fw-200: From Civilian Airliner to Maritime Reconnaissance
The Fw-200 Condor was originally designed for transatlantic civilian flights. However, with the outbreak of the war, the Luftwaffe quickly capitalized on its massive range and modified the aircraft for long-range maritime reconnaissance and bombing. Condors operated primarily over the North Atlantic, hunting for Allied convoys. They either attacked them directly with bombs or acted as spotters for German U-boat wolfpacks. This cooperation posed a severe threat to Allied supply routes.

Due to the large dimensions of the real aircraft, the models are offered in the more space-saving 1:144 and 1:200 scales. Despite these compact sizes, they maintain a high level of detail.
