Low-Flying Bombing Monster
The Aardvark was a pioneer of many technologies. It was the first production aircraft to use variable-sweep wings. Thanks to its advanced terrain-following radar, it could fly at supersonic speeds just a few dozen meters above the ground in any weather. Its ability to carry an incredible amount of conventional bombs made it a feared machine for carpet bombing during the Vietnam War. However, it also proved itself much later in Operation Desert Storm as a master tank killer using precision-guided munitions.
Collector Details and Variable Wings
For discerning collectors, we offer top-tier models by HobbyMaster in the detailed 1:72 scale, perfectly complemented by smaller pieces from Atlas Models (1:144). In our collection, you will find US Air Force (USAF) machines in iconic Vietnam-era camouflages, strategic bomber variants (FB-111A), as well as the legendary "Pig" versions belonging to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). The die-cast models excel in perfect surface craftsmanship, and HobbyMaster models typically feature movable wings, perfectly highlighting the unique design of this strike giant in your display case.
