The German Entwicklung program (E-series) at the end of World War II represented the pinnacle of efforts to standardize and develop super-heavy armored vehicles. The embodiment of this gigantic vision was the E-75 and especially the super-heavy E-100 project, designed to replace the legendary Maus. Unrealized Giants of the Third Reich
The Entwicklung series was intended to standardize the design of German armored vehicles. While the E-75 was intended as a heavy tank weighing around 75 tons to replace the Tiger II, the E-100 was a super-heavy beast with a planned weight of over 130 tons and a massive 15cm or even 17cm gun. Although the E-100 project only reached the stage of an incomplete chassis, thanks to surviving blueprints, it continues to fascinate modelers, military history fans, and enthusiasts of "Panzerwaffe 1946" alternative scenarios.
