Boeing 707 The Boeing 707 was a groundbreaking four-engine jet airliner developed by the Boeing company in the 1950s. It was the first aircraft suitable for transporting a larger number of passengers over longer distances using jet engines. The Boeing 707 had a capacity of up to 189 passengers and was equipped with four Pratt & Whitney JT3C jet engines. It was the first aircraft to enable regular direct flights between Europe and North America, significantly improving the speed and comfort of air travel. The Boeing 707 was introduced to the market in 1958 and immediately became a huge hit.
