Boeing 707 The Boeing 707 was a groundbreaking four-engine jet airliner developed by the Boeing Company in the 1950s. It was the first aircraft suitable for transporting a larger number of passengers over longer distances using jet engines. The Boeing 707 had a capacity of up to 189 passengers and was equipped with four Pratt & Whitney JT3C jet engines.
