The Boeing 707 was a groundbreaking four-engine jet airliner developed by Boeing in the 1950s. It was the first aircraft suitable for carrying larger numbers of passengers over longer distances using jet engines. The Boeing 707 had a capacity of up to 189 passengers and was equipped with four Pratt & Whitney JT3C jet engines. It was the first aircraft to enable regular non-stop flights between Europe and North America, significantly improving the speed and comfort of air travel. The Boeing 707 was introduced to the market in 1958 and immediately became a massive hit. It was the best-selling jet airliner of its time and was widely used for both passenger travel and cargo transport.
