Unique Loading Ramp and Auxiliary Jet Engine

The aircraft is based on the older civilian An-24 model but brought absolutely fundamental tactical innovations. The greatest of these is the unique rear cargo ramp, which can not only lower to the ground for vehicles to drive on but also slide under the fuselage for paratroop drops or loading directly from a truck bed. A technical curiosity is the presence of a small auxiliary turbojet engine located in the right engine nacelle, providing the aircraft with extra thrust during takeoff from high-altitude or hot airfields.

From the Czech Army to Exotic Carriers

In this category, we will satisfy collectors of both military and civil equipment with a very diverse selection of operators. A huge attraction are the precisely crafted machines of the Czech Air Force in attractive camouflage patterns. However, you can also enrich your collection with attractive models of the Ukrainian Air Force, historical machines of the Soviet Aeroflot, or exotic variants in the colors of Cuban airlines Cubana and the Chinese Air Force, where this machine flew under the licensed designation Xian Y-7.
