The Heaviest Mortar on the Battlefield
The development of this massive weapon system took place during the Cold War with the aim of destroying heavily fortified positions, bunkers, and important strategic targets that regular artillery could not handle. The 240mm weapon is mounted on a specially modified tracked chassis. Due to the enormous weight of the ammunition, the mortar is equipped with a unique hydraulic system for loading and handling the shells. The Tyulpan first saw combat during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, and its devastating power has been utilized in other modern conflicts as well.
Affordable Die-Cast Model
In this category, we will please fans of heavy Soviet and Russian artillery equipment. We offer a highly affordable yet well-crafted model from the Eaglemoss publisher. In the 1:72 scale, you can add a faithful copy of this machine in an attractive two-tone camouflage to your display case. The miniature accurately captures the massive mortar barrel stowed in the transport position on the roof of the vehicle as well as the complex running gear of the tracked chassis. The model forms a great foundation for any collection of Eastern equipment.
