Tupolev Tu-134 The Tupolev Tu-134 is a narrow-body airliner developed by Soviet designer Tupolev in the 1960s. This aircraft was designed for short and medium-haul routes and could carry up to 84 passengers. The aircraft was powered by two Soloviev D-30 turbojet engines, which provided a thrust of up to 66.7 kN. The maximum speed of the aircraft is 900 km/h and the maximum range is up to 3,100 km. The Tupolev Tu-134 was manufactured between 1966 and 1984, during which time a total of 852 units were produced. The Tupolev Tu-134 aircraft was also used as a presidential and government aircraft in several countries, such as the USSR, and later Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. The aircraft was used for both passenger and cargo transport, as well as for medical evacuation and military operations.
