The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was one of the most widely used and durable American fighters of World War II. The P-40N was the last major production variant, featuring a lighter design and improved Allison V-1710 engine, giving the aircraft a top speed of around 580 km/h (360 mph) and improved maneuverability. The aircraft, nicknamed the "American Dream", served as a flying warbird to commemorate the history of the US Air Force to the general public.
