Transall C-160 The Transall C-160 is a military transport aircraft manufactured between 1965 and 1985 by the Transall company. It has the capacity to transport up to 93 fully armed soldiers or 62 equipped paratroopers. The aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce Tyne turboprop engines with an output of 6,100 horsepower, which allow it to reach a maximum speed of 515 km/h and a range of up to 5,500 km. It is equipped with a rear ramp for easy loading and unloading of cargo and personnel. The Transall C-160 is a key aircraft in many military operations, including the Vietnam War, Gulf operations, Balkan conflicts, and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The aircraft was designed as a joint project of three European countries – France, Germany, and Spain – and is still in service around the world. Although it has been replaced by more modern aircraft, such as the Airbus A400M, it still serves in many countries.
