About M26 Pershing:
The M26 Pershing was an American heavy tank, equipped with heavy armor and a 90mm gun. It was developed in 1944, deployed in 1945 and fought in the Korean War. During this war, a new stabilisation system was added to some M26 Pershing tanks to improve firing accuracy when driving. The tank was designed to replace the German Tiger II and Panther tanks and was replaced by the newer M46 Patton model. Several M26 Pershing tanks are now in museums and serve as props in military films and television shows.
