Junkers Ju-52 The Junkers Ju-52 was a German transport aircraft manufactured between 1931 and 1945. It had three BMW Hornet engines with an output of 525 horsepower and could carry up to 18 passengers. The Ju-52 was massively deployed during World War II and used for transporting soldiers, weapons, and supplies to the front, including towing gliders for airborne operations. After the war, it was still used in civil aviation until the 1980s. Today, several airworthy examples exist, which are used for tourist flights and appear in various films.
