Fokker Fokker was a Dutch aviation company founded in 1912. The company specialized in the production of aircraft engines and later in the development and manufacture of aircraft for civil and military purposes. Among the company's most successful products are the Fokker Dr.I and Fokker D.VII aircraft, which became famous during the First World War. After the war, the company shifted its focus to civil aviation and began producing commercial aircraft. In the 1950s and 1960s, Fokker specialized in short and medium-haul routes, producing successful aircraft such as the Fokker F27 Friendship and Fokker F28 Fellowship. In 1996, Fokker found itself in financial difficulties and eventually went bankrupt in 1997. In 2001, most of its activities were sold to Stork Aerospace, and some brands were subsequently sold to GKN Aerospace. Currently, the Fokker brand is used for aircraft manufactured by GKN.

Fokker F27 The Fokker F27 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed and manufactured by the Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker in the 1950s. It was intended as a short-haul regional airliner and became very popular, with more than 500 units produced. The F27 was designed as a versatile and adaptable aircraft with various configurations and options. It could be configured for passenger transport, cargo, or a combination of both. It had a capacity of up to 52 passengers, depending on the configuration. The F27 was powered by two Rolls-Royce Dart turboprop engines, which gave it a maximum speed of around 400 mph and a range of up to 1,200 miles. It became renowned for its reliability and durability, and many F27s remained in service for decades. The F27 also served as the basis for a number of other aircraft, including the Fokker 50 and Fokker 60, which were developed in the 1980s.
