De Havilland DHC-7
The De Havilland DHC-7, also known as the "Dash 7", was a regional airliner manufactured by De Havilland Canada from 1975 to 1988. It was a four-engine turboprop aircraft with a short range, which was designed for operation in difficult conditions and at short airports. It had a capacity of up to 50 passengers and its range was approximately 1,750 kilometers. Due to its powerful engine layout and short fuselage, the Dash 7 was able to land and take off from very short runways, such as mountain airfields or airfields in remote areas. The Dash 7 was a popular aircraft for regional passenger and cargo transport, especially in Canada, Alaska and northern Europe. The aircraft was also used for rescue and humanitarian missions, due to its ability to operate from unpaved runways and less accessible areas. Several aircraft are still flying in various parts of the world, mainly in Canada and Africa.
