Comac C919 The C919 is a narrow-body airliner developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). It is designed to compete with the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The C919 has a capacity of 158 to 174 seats, depending on the configuration, and a range of up to 5,555 kilometers. It is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1C engines, which are designed to be more fuel-efficient. The first prototype of the C919 was completed in 2015, and the first flight took place in 2017. Since then, several other prototypes have been developed and tested. Commercial operation of the C919 has not yet begun, and the planned launch date continues to be postponed.
