Panzerkampf Boxer Skyranger Bundeswehr in 1/72 scale is a highly detailed finished collector's model of the most modern short-range air defense system (SHORAD) on an 8x8 wheeled chassis.

Material: The base is made of a robust metal hull (die-cast), accessories and turret are made of hard plastic to preserve the finest details.
Functional elements: The model has a fully rotating Skyranger 30 gun turret and a height-adjustable automatic cannon barrel. The wheels have real rubber tires with an authentic pattern.
Details: The model precisely depicts anti-slip surfaces, radars, optoelectronic sensors and sights, antennas and cutting strips. The German army (Bundeswehr) markings and warning signs are applied using pad printing technology, so they do not peel off or fade.
Packaging: The model is delivered fully assembled and painted, mounted on a plastic stand with a label and protected by a transparent plexiglass cover (display case) against dust. The length of the model is approximately 11 cm and the width is 4.4 cm.

About the real thing: Protection against drones Skyranger 30: This modular system developed by Rheinmetall on the proven Boxer 8x8 chassis is a direct response to the threats of the modern battlefield, especially in the form of suicide drones, loitering munitions and low-flying targets.
• Armament: The unmanned turret integrates a 30mm Oerlikon turret cannon, which uses programmable AHEAD ammunition. This explodes just in front of the target and creates a deadly cloud of heavy tungsten projectiles, which is ideal for destroying small drones. The system also allows for the integration of short-range anti-aircraft guided missiles.
• Sensors: The turret is equipped with its own search radar with four panels (360° coverage), infrared sensors and passive optoelectronics, which can automatically search for and track even the smallest targets.
• Real-life deployment: The German Bundeswehr officially ordered dozens of these systems in 2024 to restore its army air defense capabilities after years of decommissioning the Gepard systems. The first real Skyranger vehicles on the Boxer chassis are coming into service in 2025 and 2026.
