To most RAF pilots serving between 1960 and 1988, the BAC (Hunting Aircraft) Jet Provost aircraft is very well known. The Jet Provost aircraft, which formed the backbone of RAF pilot training during this period, was characterized by a wide fuselage profile that allowed for a relatively spacious side-by-side cockpit arrangement.
