Airbus A310 The Airbus A310 is a narrow-body, twin-engine medium-range jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It was designed as a larger successor to the Airbus A300 aircraft and first flew in 1982. The aircraft is designed to transport 200 to 250 passengers over a distance of up to 9,000 km. The Airbus A310 was manufactured from 1982 to 1998, with a total of 255 units produced. The main operators of this aircraft include Lufthansa, Air France, British Airways, or China Eastern Airlines. Currently, the Airbus A310 is increasingly being phased out of service and replaced by more modern aircraft. The aircraft is characterized by efficient fuel economy and the ability to land even at smaller airports. In 2006, a modernized version of the aircraft, designated as the Airbus A310 MRTT, was developed to serve as a military aerial refueling tanker.
