About the M26 Pershing:
The M26 Pershing was a heavy American tank equipped with strong armor and a 90 mm cannon. It was developed in 1944, deployed in 1945, and fought in the Korean War. During this war, some M26 Pershings were fitted with a new stabilization system to improve firing accuracy while moving. The tank was designed to counter German Tiger II and Panther tanks and was replaced by the newer M46 Patton model. Several M26 Pershing tanks are now in museums and serve as props in military films and television shows.
