Liore et Olivier LeO 45
The Liore et Olivier LeO 45 was a French bomber aircraft used during World War II. It was designed and manufactured by Liore et Olivier (LeO for short) and first flew in 1937. The aircraft was equipped with two Gnome-Rhône 14N radial engines, each with an output of 1,100 horsepower, and was capable of carrying up to 1,500 kg of bombs. It had sufficient range and speed to effectively participate in bombing targets deep in enemy territory. The LeO 45 was deployed in France during World War II and was actively used in the fight against Nazi Germany. After the occupation of France by German forces, the aircraft was used by both the Germans and the Vichy regime's air force. After the liberation of France, the aircraft was used in the fight against the Nazis on the Eastern Front. A total of over 600 LeO 45 aircraft were produced and deployed in many countries around the world, including Argentina, Spain, Greece, Yugoslavia, and Portugal. After World War II, the LeO 45 was gradually replaced by more modern aircraft.
