The De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter is a turboprop aircraft designed for short takeoff and landing on unpaved runways. It was manufactured by De Havilland Canada from 1965 to 1988. The Twin Otter is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-27 turboprop engines with an output of 620 hp. It has a maximum speed of 298 kilometers per hour and a range of up to 1,609 kilometers, allowing the transport of 19 passengers. The aircraft can reach an altitude of up to 8,535 meters. The DHC-6-300 has become very popular for its ability to land and take off from unpaved runways and its ability to fly in difficult conditions, such as mountainous areas and arctic regions.
