Concorde
The Concorde was a supersonic civil airliner that was developed by the British Aircraft Corporation and Aérospatiale in the 1960s. The aircraft could reach speeds of up to Mach 2.04 (approx. 2,180 km/h) and was able to cross the Atlantic Ocean in less than 3.5 hours. The Concorde was one of the fastest and most powerful aircraft in the history of civil aviation. The first Concorde flight took place in 1969 and the aircraft entered commercial service in 1976 by Air France and British Airways. A total of 20 Concordes were built, the last of which was built in 1978. Most Concorde flights were between Europe and North America, with very high ticket prices and were aimed at a wealthier clientele. Concorde was distinguished not only by its speed, but also by its luxurious interior and high-quality service.
