Comac C919
The C919 is a narrow-body transport aircraft developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). It is designed as a competitor to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The C919 has a capacity of 158 to 174 seats depending on the configuration and a range of up to 5,555 kilometers. It is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1C engines, which are designed to be more fuel efficient. The first prototype of the C919 was completed in 2015 and first flew in 2017. Since then, several other prototypes have been developed and tested. The C919 has not yet entered commercial service, and the planned date for its entry into service is still being postponed.
