The Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen was a German off-road vehicle produced during World War II. It was originally developed for the German army as a replacement for older types of off-road vehicles. Over 50,000 vehicles of this type were produced and deployed in many conflicts, including Africa, Italy, the Eastern Front, and Western Europe. The Kübelwagen was powered by a 23.5 kW gasoline engine with a capacity of 1.1 liters. It reached a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The vehicle was capable of traversing difficult terrain and was equipped with a durable chassis. The vehicle's armor was very weak, which meant that it was not suitable for direct combat. Most Kübelwagens were equipped with an MG34 or MG42 machine gun, which was mounted on the roof of the vehicle.
