Ilyushin Il-96-300
The Il-96 is a Russian wide-body transport aircraft manufactured by Ilyushin. The aircraft is available in two variants - Il-96-300 and Il-96-400. The Il-96-300 has a length of 55.34 metres and is capable of carrying up to 300 passengers over a distance of up to 10,000 km. The Il-96-400 has a longer fuselage length of 63.69 metres and is capable of carrying up to 436 passengers over a distance of up to 11,000 km. The aircraft are equipped with four PS-90A engines, which are much quieter and more economical than older engine models. The Il-96 was developed in the 1990s as a replacement for older Soviet transport aircraft such as the Il-62. The aircraft first entered service in 1993 and is still operated by several airlines as well as some government agencies.
