The A-7 Corsair II is a fighter aircraft that was manufactured in the 1960s and 1970s to support ground forces. It had a capacity for one pilot, was powered by a single jet engine, and was capable of carrying various types of weapons. The aircraft was actively deployed in several conflicts, including the Vietnam War and Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. It was also used by the navies of several countries. A total of more than 1,500 A-7 Corsair IIs were produced, many of which were later converted into other variants. It was gradually replaced by more modern aircraft types.
