Supermarine Spitfire
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British fighter aircraft that served primarily during World War II. It first flew in March 1936 and became a symbol of British determination in the fight against Nazi Germany during the war. The Spitfire was designed by R. J. Mitchell of the Supermarine Aviation Works. The aircraft had a sleek and aerodynamic design and was equipped with a powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine that allowed it to achieve high speeds and agility. The Spitfire was equipped with two guns and four machine guns, allowing it to effectively engage enemy aircraft.
