The F-5 Tiger is a light multirole fighter aircraft, powered by a pair of engines with a total power of up to 5,000 lb. It had a conventional wing area, a distinctive small cockpit with excellent visibility, a pair of 20 mm guns, and could carry up to 7,000 lb of weapons. It was used primarily as a fighter aircraft, but was also used for training and reconnaissance. It was delivered to many countries around the world and became popular due to its high maneuverability and ability to operate from short runways. Over the years, more than 2,600 F-5 Tiger aircraft were produced in all variants.
