The KV-1 was a heavy tank used by the Soviet Army during World War II. It was very well armored and could withstand attacks from enemy tanks, but its weight made it slow and clumsy. The KV-1 was deployed in many battles, including the Battle of Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk. After the war it was replaced by more modern tanks, but some machines were used until the 1960s.
