The Albatros D.V was a German fighter aircraft developed in 1917 by Albatros Flugzeugwerke. The D.V was an improved version of the D.III with a new wing shape and a 120 kW Mercedes D.III engine armed with two synchronized machine guns. It was used by the German Luftstreitkräfte on the Western Front and also by the Jasta 23b fighter squadron. The aircraft was designed by Otto Kissemberth to increase its manoeuvrability and fighter capabilities. A replica of the aircraft can be seen at the Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome Museum in Essex, which was used to defend London during the First World War.
